Why study early childhood education and care?

Quality trained and highly professional educators are in high demand throughout Australia. It is a rapidly growing industry with strong future career growth likely within the sector as demand increases. Currently, there is a shortage of passionate, highly trained educators to support the high demands for quality education and care within the early childhood sector.

From the ages of 0-8 years marks the most rapid development of an individuals life and by the age of 4, a child is considered to have at least 50% their cognitive pathways already developed. Early childhood is the critical window of time in supporting a child’s healthy development of their cognitive, emotional, social and physical behaviour that will support them to be active, thriving citizens of the world.

You will witness first-hand all of the amazing journeys that these children will go through whilst they look for you for guidance, support and are developing life long memories.

All applications to enrol in our accredited Early Childhood courses are subject to the selection process and course student capacity constraints, there is no guarantee of acceptance into a course. As part of the application process, you will be enrolled in a “holding class” titled “ECEC Eligibility Check” in which you will be required to complete a LLN test and provide the following documentation: South Australian Working with Children Check, RRHAN-EC Fundamentals and Masterclass Certificate, Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (Diploma in Early Childhood Only) and Previous Qualifications (Diploma in Early Childhood Only). Your application will then be reviewed and you will be contacted regarding your application outcome. There is no fee incurred for the application process.
